The Cashier is responsible for day-to-day operations including proper cash handling, customer services, tidiness of the store, restocking of supplies and taking order, including catering request.

Responsibilities:
· Follow policies, procedures and guidelines for cash handling, opening/closing store procedures.
· Meet and exceed health and safety regulations/expectations.
· Display a solid general knowledge about coffee and its culture.
· Uphold the standards Matter of Taste has set for service and quality.
· Take customer orders with respect and timely manner.
· Be knowledgeable about coffee varieties, drink recipes.
· Ability to handle customer requests and ask for assistance when necessary.
· Clear tables, serve, and work as part of the team on various duties as required.

 

   
 


Baristas are the final step in creating a memorable experience for our customers. In addition to preparing coffee and various espresso drinks, baristas are ambassadors of coffee and customer service.

Responsibilities:
· Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
· Promotes a positive image to the public and staff.
· Remains calm and professional during high volume periods.
· Anticipates customer needs by assesing the situation & proactively communicating with staff.
· Keeps a clean, tidy work environment.
· Trains new staff as required with positive reinforcement, respect and encouragement
· Baristas lead by example.
· Deliver superior customer service to all customers,
· Anticipates needs and helping to create a memorable experience.
· Ability to correct errors in drinks – never letting inadequate quality to be served.
· Contributes to a positive work environment
· Communicates with manager on issues such as staff moral and work performance.

· Treat all members of the team with respect.
